Plastic & Rubber Wheel Stop Installation
We install AS/NZS 2890.1:2004 compliant wheel stops in asphalt and concrete.
Wheel stops or parking stoppers as they are sometimes called, are a vital but often forgotten part of the carpark infrastructure, responsible for preventing costly damage to log hanging bumpers and in keeping vehicle overhangs clear of access routes - especially important for business to maintain health and safety requirements and accessibility for the disabled. In our experience heavy duty plastic stops last the distance over rubber versions, but we install both, and all stops need replacing eventually.
The cost of wheel stop installation in NZ or plastic wheel stops or rubber wheel stops varies depending on the length. The most economical is a 1600mm long wheel stop, with an installed cost of approximately $100-200 each in 2025, with the lower end of that range being for installs of 100+ stops, and the higher end for just a couple. This varies depending on the quantity, but this is a good ball park if you are planning installation of wheel stops in your Auckland based carpark or business. Concrete wheel stops are also an option, although these come at a higher price point.
